Episode 006 If You Don't Clear Your Dryer Vent and Lint Screen, What Happens?

Dec 29, 2022

Episode 006

Have you ever forgotten to clear your lint screen? What happened?  Did it take longer for your clothes to dry?  Maybe your clothes didn't dry completely.

If you don't clear your dryer vent, what happens?  First, your clothes won't dry, as well.

One time, we couldn't figure out why our clothes wouldn't dry completely.  The dryer ran the full cycle and seemed to be running ok.  We ended up needing to hang our clothes in order for it to dry.  Then, we noticed a funky smell.  Neal finally decided to check the exhaust hose running from the dryer to the outside.  Guess what, a rat had made a nest in our dryer hose vent.  Once he removed the rat's nest and cleaned out the vent and lint screen, the dryer ran perfectly!

Second, if enough lint builds up, it may catch on fire.  As a retired fire fighter, Neal has seen all kinds of fires, including fires due to lint build up.

How is this related to our health?  Where in our body are there vents and screens?

Vents = intestines

Screens = filtering organs, Liver, Kidneys, Lungs, Skin

When was the last time that you cleaned the vents and screens in your body? For most people, never.  It's not something we think about and rarely talk about.

Think about everything you've eaten in your lifetime.  How much processed / fake food have you eaten?  What is processed food?  Anything on a shelf in a package.

How many toxins have you consumed over the years? What is a toxin - a poisonous or harmful non-biological substance, such as a pollutant [from https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/toxin] Glyphosate on your fruits and vegetables, a long list of preservatives in packaged and processed food, MSG, medication, VOC's (volatile organic compounds), synthetic fragrances (95% are made from petroleum), even sugar, etc.

The body works hard protecting us from these harmful substances to keep us alive.  However, the amount of toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis overtaxes our filtering organs - which store the toxins in fat to protect our body - and gunk up our organs and vents.

If your screens (Liver, Kidneys, Lungs, Skin) are gunked up and your vents (Intestines) are gunked up with toxins, is it possible that these may be the reasons that you have rashes, have allergies, have headaches, are constipated, etc.?

Maybe it's time to clean your screens and vents.  Adding Lemon or Lime Juice to water is a delicious way to cleanse.  We also love celery juice.  If we haven't drank celery juice in a while, I make sure that I'm near a toilet after the first couple of glasses.  It flushes me out!  And of course, we appreciate our certified pure tested grade essential oils!  Essential Oils are the best tools for people who prefer to take charge of their own health!

Fiber is important to gently scrub the gunk from the inside of the intestines, just like a vent brush.  I also learned that it's critical for probiotics to thrive.  Fiber = Prebiotics = Food for Probiotics

If your body needs a deep cleaning - consider doing a 30 Day Cleanse.  It's simple, using whole food supplements, herbal supplements and certified pure tested grade essential Oils.  Email me at [email protected] subject: Ready to Deep Clean and I'll share what I use and how I use it.

If you keep bringing toxins into the body, your body has to keep working hard to protect you and may eventually wear out.  If you're ready to reduce the amount of toxins in your life, here are a few suggestions:

1. Eat Organic or wild fruits and vegetables and Grass Fed Meat.  Better yet, grown your own food.  Minimize eating pesticides and hormones from meat.

2. Read Labels to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals found in most personal care products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste), cosmetics, perfumes, household cleaners.  Look for phthalate, BPA and paraben-free products.  Avoid retinyl palmitate because it has been linked to tumors and skin lesions.  In fact, consider making your own products!  Most cleaning can be done with vinegar, baking soda, castille soap and certified pure tested grade essential oils.  If you're a busy mom, like me and don't have time to read labels (I used to do this) nor make your own products, email me at [email protected] subject: Ready to Ditch Toxins and I'll share the products that I love to use, which are shipped directly to my home.

3. Sweat!  This is one of the best ways to break down fat cells and get toxins out of the body (fat cells store toxins).

4. Use Glass and Stainless or Cast Iron pans.  Storing food in plastic may allow BPA to get into your food.  Worse yet, would be heating your food in plastic in the microwave!  Teflon, when heated, is toxic.

5. Drink LOTS of water.  Flush your system.  But not too much.  Yes, drinking too much water can be bad, too.  It may throw off the balance of your electrolytes!  We love adding citrus oils for flavor and to help gently detox.
