Lisa Malia's Journey to dōTERRA

Lisa’s journey into wellness began in the yoga studio—but it didn’t stop there.
Stressed and seeking balance while working as an engineer, she first turned to hatha yoga to find calm. What began as a physical practice quickly became a personal awakening: the breath, the body, and the energy between them mattered. She didn’t just teach yoga for more than seven years—she lived it.  30 years later, yoga is still a core practice in her life.

Her curiosity didn’t stop on the mat.
While still working full-time in engineering, Lisa dove headfirst into the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine. There, she discovered what she’d always sensed: the body is a system. Energy isn’t “woo”—it’s wiring. From meridians to herbs, yin and yang, she saw how small shifts could create massive healing ripple effects.

But one thing about acupuncture tugged at her:

People could only feel better if they came to her.

Lisa wanted more than results—she wanted empowerment.

That’s when she found doTERRA.  And with it, the tools to help women take charge of their health from the inside out.

Today, through One Drop Heals, Lisa blends ancient wisdom with modern science to help women simplify wellness and reclaim their vitality—one drop at a time. With her background in mechanical engineering, a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a heart for ritual-based healing, Lisa guides women in taking charge of their own health and their family’s wellness—without waiting for permission or prescriptions. She blends the precision of an engineer with the energetic wisdom of a healer, making complex wellness feel simple, doable, and sacred.  Lisa offers clear, doable strategies that meet women where they are.

Neal Wong's Journey to dōTERRA

Neal has always loved helping people.  His dream of becoming a firefighter started as a little boy, knowing that firefighters tried to save his house from burning down.  After trying to become a firefighter a few times, he finally achieved his dream!  He was now paid to work out and help people, how cool was that!

A few years later, dōTERRA entered our lives. Neal had been suffering with tendinitis, to the point where he could barely pull anything - which meant he was a liability to his crew.  Fortunately, his co-worker’s wife stopped by the station one day and noticed that Neal was in pain.  She offered essential oils.  At first Neal declined because we had lots of essential oils at home (not dōTERRA).  She insisted - so he put on wintergreen and WOW!  THIS wasn’t anything like what we had at home.

As we learned more about essential oils, when Neal would go on a call, he realized that if the person had essential oils, they may not be suffering.  As he recognized that he could help way more people by sharing dōTERRA, the satisfaction of being a firefighter gradually dimmed.  Neal retired early and now is on a mission to share his journey of reversing diabetes to help people change both their health and their wealth with dōTERRA.
