Episode 008 Medication Buys You Time, It Doesn't Resolve the Issue
Jan 15, 2023Episode 008
Can you do all the right things, eat well, exercise and still get sick - yes! Although another key aspect to being healthy or sick, that is often overlooked, is your thoughts - stress, your emotional health and mindset - is life beautiful and supportive or does life suck and is difficult? But that's a whole discussion in and of itself.
On the flip side, if your body is already out of balance / breaking down and aging - high blood pressure, diabetic, apple shape (large belly), high blood sugar, aches and pain, headaches, memory loss, etc. - even if you are taking medication to "manage" your health, you are on the path to being debilitated, destined for dependence. There's no avoiding it.
The problem is not high blood pressure. High Blood Pressure is a sign that there is too much inflammation in your body. Taking a medication to lower your blood pressure, does not address the inflammation that is causing the high blood pressure. Yes, high blood pressure puts a lot of strain on the body and wears it down faster so lowering it is helpful. But the inflammation is still there and without changing anything in your lifestyle, it will continue to increase. How do you know, have you noticed that, your doctor gradually ups the dose of your medication to keep your blood pressure in range. Taking medication buys you time, it doesn't resolve the issue. (For a deeper understanding of what inflammation is, watch for Episode 009 Inflammation - Heals and Kills.)
Everything your body does, it does to keep you alive! EVERYTHING!
High Blood Pressure - sign of excess inflammation, This is simply physics. The toxins in your blood damage the cells lining your blood vessels. This damage triggers inflammation - which is the body's mechanism to heal. The inflammation causes the inner lining of your blood vessels to get puffy - which constricts the space available for the blood to flow - which then increases your blood pressure.
Aches and Pain - sign of inflammation (Inflammation and pain when you sprain your ankle is awesome! It's your body bringing healing to the sprain. The pain is to remind you to stay off your ankle so that the body can heal it. Chronic inflammation, on the other hand, is not good - you are overtaxing your body in a constant state of repair / healing. Eventually, your body will get worn out.
Today, if you don't die all of a sudden from a heart attack or stroke, you will most likely spend the last 8-10 years of your life suffering (recovering from a heart attack or stroke, with cancer, with dementia or alzheimer's, with toes or feet cut off, on dialysis, hobbling around in pain), unable to take care yourself, unable to do the things that you love. By the way, in ALL of these dis-eases inflammation is a primary underlying causes. (For a deeper understanding of what inflammation is and how to reduce chronic inflammation, watch for the upcoming Episode 009 Inflammation - Heals and Kills.) You may be alive but not LIVING LIFE!
Who will take care of you? If you've had to help talk care of grandma, aunty or a parent, you understand the hardship and burden. You love and care for your loved one so of course you want to take care of them. The physical, emotional, and often financial strain on yourself, as well as on them - is exhausting. The struggle between love and bitterness is real.

2) Cleanse and Detox
3) Give your Body the Nutrients it needs to revitalize and rejuvenate - eat fresh, real food!
