Waikane Valley Lo'i

 

Local doTERRA Leader: Neal Wong and Lisa Nakamura, One Drop Heals

Host: Uncle Keoki Fukumitsu from the Waikane Valley Restoration Project

Who: Everyone is invited.  doTERRA Members and Non-Members. Target is 50 Helpers.

What: Help in the restoration of the Taro Field.

 We'll be cleaning up and preparing the land to replant taro - pulling weeds, throwing away rubbish, etc. We will get dirty and muddy!

Where: Waikane Valley Kalo Project (aka Waikane Valley 'Aina Restoration Project).  Kamehameha Hwy and Waikane Valley Road.

When: Thursday May 19, 2022.  10AM - 12:30PM

Join us after for lunch at Kualoa Beach Park. (We will probably stop to buy food from Kualoa Ranch)

Parking: Limited parking on site.  Park along Kamehameha Hwy and walk in.  Please do not park near the road side vendors - allow the tourist to park and buy!

What should I Bring? 

  • Gloves
  • Shoes (tabis are even better).
  • Extra Change of Clothes OR a Towel to Sit On so you don't dirty your car seats.
  • Bring a Jug of Water to Wash Hands (No Running Water at Site)
  • Wash cloth to scrub of the mud :)
  • Porta Potty may be available but Restrooms at Kualoa Beach Park
  • Beach Chair if you need a break
  • Umbrella if you melt in the rain.
